Solid State Gamer Age Rating Method.
Even with vintage games, not titles are for all audiences. Though there is a vast majority of games that are very tame and suitable for all ages, there are some games that may have harmful content in them. We want to make sure that parents and anyone else with children have any and all the information they need regarding a particular game and whether or not it’s appropriate for their children. The solid State Gamer site WILL provide a “write-up” for every title that comes up for review. These write-ups will provide an age rating and a summary of any questionable content that takes place in a game. The rating we have toward various age groups are as follows:
[5YR+]: These games are tame to the T. They don’t have any questionable content worth noting.
[13YR+]: These kind of games may have mild/brief violence, questionable refrences, and some mild humor.
[17YR+]: These games may contain moderate/constant voilence, moderate Blood/gore, some drug use, some mild/brief nudity/sexuality.
[20YR+]: These games may contain wanton voilence, profuse Blood/gore, decapitation/dismemberment, heavy drug use, gratuitous nudity and sexuality.
